Borneo

Description

Hoya Glabra borneo beautiful foliage makes this Hoya stand out, its rose-colored blooms add a bright touch to this classic green houseplant. It's known to produce lovely clusters of star-shaped glossy, flowers measures up to 12mm in diameter and has a pale purple/pink corona. And with up to 30 flowers per umbel, this plant is sure to turn heads.

The leaves are typically deep green and can vary in shape, from oblong to oval. The foliage grows on long twining vines and the leaves can measure up to 15cm x 9cm in dark green with pointy tips and signature triple veins clearly visible (red underneath). And while the flowers only last for one day, their light and sweet perfume will delight your senses.

Environment

Easy to grow & don"t require much attention. Hoya do best in filtered light or with lots of artificial light in indoors.

Hoya plants don't ask for much, beyond the well-draining soil and the warm humid conditions ((similar to bromeliads and orchids)

They are epyphite, can be grown in orchid medium or light potting mix with lots of bark conditioner. Hoya like the security of a snug pot, and plants that are a bit root bound will flower more prolifically than those that are swimming around in a giant pot.

This plant is attractive to bees, butterflies and/or birds .

Landscape Use

It makes a nice hanging basket, but also does really well as a mounted plant
