Description

Anemones are very small tubers/ bulbs which produce daisy-like flowers. These plants are part of the Ranunculaceae family and are known for their colorful, delicate flowers.

Anemone ‘The Admiral’ showcases vibrant magenta-pink, daisy-shaped flowers featuring velvety black centers that offer a striking contrast in any garden setting. The plant grows to a height of 25–35 cm with finely divided leaves and a compact form. It thrives best when sown from October to December in plains or November to January in hilly regions, resulting in blooms from February to April in plains and March to May in hills.

Environment

Anemones require full sun to partial shade and thrive in fertile, well-drained soil with a slightly acidic to neutral pH (6.0-7.0). Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged and soak the corms in water for 4-6 hours before planting. Plant the corms 1-2 inches deep with the pointed end facing down, spaced 3-4 inches apart. For optimal growth, use a balanced, slow-release fertilizer at planting time.
